Testimonials

The Connex service is literally a lifesaver. I have no other way to get to Red Deer for dialysis treatment.Connex Client
When you’re in a wheelchair every day, and if you don’t get out of that position, your bone density, your blood pressure and your circulation can be affected. The ability to feel an upright weight-bearing sensation has been amazing. And to actually be able to do exercise while you’re being supported to the point where you don’t have to have three people there to do it safely feels incredible.PhysiotherapyOutpatient
The LiteGait is a really premium piece of equipment. For us at a small facility, to have this is kind of equipment is unheard of. The biggest thing is that it provides the patient with security, which protects the caregivers at the same time. It really provides a safe, effective environment to get people walking again – walking and balance training.Physiotherapist
The bath lifts purchased by the Health Trust eliminate the number of transfers required to get our residents into the bath – it’s now literally bed to bath tub. This really lessens the physical strain on staff. They also include a scale built into the chair, which is great because weight management is really important in keeping our residents healthy.StaffContinuing Care
It’s nice having the bath lifts because it makes it easier to get in and out of the tub, and the chair is really comfortable. I love having a bath, and with these new lifts I can have a bath whenever I want now.Continuing Care Resident
By bringing the Emergency Department Echocardiogram course to Lacombe, the Health Trust trained 11 physicians in the use of bedside ultrasound for the diagnosis of potentially life-threatening conditions. We then received delivery of the new Sonosite PX ultrasound unit, which gives us far greater resolution and the ability to scan our patients with much more confidence. The new skills along with the new equipment enable us to promptly identify conditions that would otherwise require transfer to another facility for diagnosis.Physician
We are so happy to see Units 1 and 2 completed with new name plates, murals, and painting. The murals are stunning, especially the ‘Welcome to Lacombe Continuing Care’ which is now truly welcoming.StaffContinuing Care
The updated bathrooms in the lobby are fresh, clean, more spacious, and most importantly, they are significantly more accessible, which makes a meaningful difference in overall comfort and usability. Thank you for your commitment to enhancing the hospital environment and prioritizing the experience of everyone who comes through our doors. Your efforts are clearly making a positive impact. The transformation of the front lobby area is truly impressive. The space now feels bright, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. The beautiful artwork and comfortable seating have created an area that is both calming and inviting for patients and visitors alike. I have heard many compliments from members of the public who have noticed and appreciated these improvements.Admitting Desk Staff
The Sara Stedy sit-to-stand lift has been a wonderful addition to Acute Care! It is very user friendly for both staff and patients. Staff feel it is safe, smooth, and steady. Patients feel more secure while using this lift when compared to other sit-to-stand lifts that we have. Unit StaffAcute Care
It has been nice having telemetry packs on Unit A that are able to reach the entire department length, instead of being limited to only the first few rooms in the department. This has also been a welcome addition to the unit so we are not clogging up the rooms further by needing to plug in the system, like we used to do.Nursing StaffUnit A
The new Spacelabs machines provided in the ER department have allowed us to have more cardiac / heart monitoring in the department, in a variety of spaces. This means more thorough monitoring of the patients’ vitals as a whole, and lets staff ensure vitals are being done in a timely manner when things get busy in the department. The other positive is that it can be seen on the space labs noted at the nursing desk. Nursing StaffEmergency Department
Thank you for the additional Space Labs in the LHCC Emergency Department. We now have the ability to monitor more patients with cardiac concerns in a variety of spaces and no longer have to move machines from room to room.Nursing StaffEmergency Department
