Jim Dixon, Jr.

Jim grew up in Lacombe and moved to Edmonton to obtain degrees in chemical and environmental engineering prior to moving back to Lacombe 20 years ago.  He is currently the Site Operations Leader for NOVA Chemicals at the Joffre Petrochemical Facility.  Chair of the Lacombe Health Trust since its inception, Jim has been an integral part of this enthusiastic team that has helped fund a number of important enhancements to our local hospital including the recently opened Emergency Department renovation. Jim is also actively involved as a volunteer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.

Corey Gish

Corey has been a part of the community of Lacombe since childhood. After completing her post-secondary education at the University of Alberta and the University of Victoria, Corey returned to Lacombe to open up her own law firm and raise her family. Since establishing her business, Corey has been involved as a volunteer in a wide range of organizations in the local community. We welcome her experience at the Lacombe Health Trust, where she has been a board member since 2014.

Steve and his wife Cheryl have enjoyed life in Lacombe for 24 years and are the proud parents of 2 grown daughters, who have blessed them with 4 grandchildren. Steve is currently employed at Doors on Demand and shows his passion for our community through his service in many roles in the Church, Rotary, Volunteer Fire Department, City Council, and numerous committees - not to mention he is the former Mayor of the City of Lacombe. Serving on the board of the Lacombe Health Trust reflects his dedication to finding positive ways to enhance the delivery of healthcare services to our city and the surrounding area.

They raise their two children in the community and have been involved in the Dolphin swim club, minor hockey, ringette, figure skating and dance. Angela enjoys living and doing business in Lacombe, and joined the Lacombe Health Trust Board to give back to the community.  She has also spent the last 10 years on the board of the Lacombe and District Chamber of Commerce.

Jason Lunn

Jason was born and raised in Lacombe and has been a co-owner of D&M Concrete since 1994. He and his wife Colette have been married for 19 years and have three children, who keep Jason busy coaching and watching ringette, hockey and football. Jason has been an active member of the Lacombe Kinsmen Club as well as vice-president of Lacombe Minor Football, and sees his role at the Lacombe Health Trust as another way to give back to the community.

Denise van Nieuwkerk

Denise is a self-proclaimed "country girl" who was raised near Bashaw. In 1976, she came to work as a Registered Nurse at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre where you may have seen her in the Emergency Department during her 40 years on staff. Currently, Denise and her husband run an oilfield company and farm near Clive, and have 2 children and 6 grandchildren who provide them enjoyment on a daily basis. After retiring from nursing, Denise has found many ways to be involved in community activities, including as Chair of the Lacombe Palliative Care Society and Vice Chair of the Clive Library Board.

RoAnna is a physiotherapist and co-owner of Lacombe and Blackfalds Physiotherapy Clinics. She values and promotes all efforts to network with healthcare providers within Lacombe and surrounding areas to provide excellent health care services to our community. RoAnna moved to Lacombe in 2007 with her husband Tim and two kids, who were actively involved in ringette volleyball and basketball. As a new empty nester, RoAnna is looking to give back to her community and is excited about the opportunity to work with the Lacombe Health Trust board to learn more about the ongoing health care needs within our community.
